Det er tid til deliberativt demokrati! / It's time for deliberative democracy!

Vores politiske system kan ikke stå over for nutidens og fremtidens stor problemer. Borger stemmer på politikere hver fjerde år, men 10% af folk i Danmark har ikke stemmeret.
Politikere er under for meget indflydelse af deres løn og magt, så de træffer beslutninger baseret på hvordan de kan fremme deres karriere og ikke hvad er godt for folket og verden. De er også under store indflydelse af interesseorganisationer som er- eller får økonomisk støtte af f.eks. fossil industrien og landbrugsindustrien der misbruger land og dyr.
Det er så i praksis dem med stor summe penge som har magt og ikke folket! Med dette politisk system, er det ikke muligt at forhindre klimakollaps eller befri Palæstina da politikerne hører til penge og ikke folkets stemmer!
Det er tid til noget nyt!
Deliberativt demokrati (også kendt som "Direkte Demokrati") er en form for demokrati, der stammer fra det Antikke Grækenland, som handler om at 100-150 folk samler sig sammen med et demografi der afspejler den af den aktuelle befolkning ved lodtrækning, snakker med hinanden om bestemte problemer og problemstillinger både med- og uden eksperter og som er med til at satte dagsorden og sammen tager informeret valg for samfundet.
Ikke mere karriere-politik! Ikke mere lobbyisme!

--- Hvem står bagved dette begivenhed? ---
Denis B. Vrachanski har siden 2022 været politisk aktiv og har tidligere været aktiv i Extinction Rebellion og fik inspiration til at starte dette ny idé fra en podcast der hedder "Designing the Revolution" af Roger Hallam som var med til at starte op XR og en gruppe der hedder "Cooperation Hull" som er en organisation der er allerede i gang med det her i byen Hull, England som er omkring på størrelse med Århus
Denis har så bruge for din hjælp til at starte dette op og det kræver en koordinationsgruppe på 5-8 mennesker der ligger ca. 5 timer per uge og evt. have nogen til at gøre dette fuld tid når der er donationer nok!

Our political system cannot face the current and future's big challenges. Citizens vote for politicians every four years, but 10% of people in Denmark do not have the right to vote.
Politicians are under too much influence by their paycheck and power, so they make decisions based on how they can step up in their political career and not what is good for the people and the world. They are also under large influence by lobby organisations, which are- or are funded by for example the fossil fuel industry and the big agriculture industry that is exploiting the land and animals.
It is so, that in practice, those with huge sums of money that have power and not the people! With this political system it is not possible to stop the climate collapse or free Palestine since the politicians listen to money and not the voice of the people!
It is time for something new!
Deliberative Democracy (also known as "Direct Democracy") is a form of Democracy which originates from Ancient Greece where 100-150 people gather with a demography that mirrors that of the actual population where selection of people is done by lottery, which talk to eachother about deciding on issues and problems, both with- and without experts and which participate in setting the agenda and take informed decisions for society.
No more career politics! No more lobbyism!
Come to Café Mellemfolk in Mejlgade 53 on the 27th of April 15:00-17:00 to hear more about what you can do and how you can contribute to start up this new political project! :)
--- Who is behind this event? ---
Denis B. Vrachanski has been politically active since 2022 and has previously been active in Extinction Rebellion and got inspiration to start up this new idea from a podcast named "Designing the Revolution" by Roger Hallam that co-founded XR in 2018 and a group called "Cooperation Hull" which is an organisation that is already ongoing with this in the city of Hull, England, which is around the size of Århus.
Denis needs your help to start this up and it requires a coordination group of 5-8 people that put in about 5 hours per week and possibly have someone to do this full-time when we have enough donations!
