Climate Café - The Journey of our clothes

by Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke Aarhus

Join the Climate Justice Group at Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke Aarhus for a talk about how the clothing industry impacts both planet and people!

Learn about the life cycle of clothes and its consequences – from sourcing the materials and producing the garments, to the behavior of consumers and the impacts of reusing and recycling the clothes ♻️

The talk is hosted by Helene Christensen, bsc. in Design and Business with specialization in Sustainable Fashion Tec and owner of the slow fashion brand Solrig. She will enlighten you about the environmental and social consequences of the most common materials used in garments – cotton and polyester. What are the pros and cons of the materials? How can you use this information as a consumer to take action? What initiatives are governments and businesses taking to improve the climate impact of producing, reusing and recycling clothes? Join our talk to get the answers.
After the presentation there is room for follow-up questions and discussions about what we just learned.

The event will take place at the ground floor of Café Mellemfolk on April 25th at 17.00
